Frequently Asked Questions
What wax do you use?
We use a natural soy wax that’s sustainable, vegan and non-toxic. You can expect an even and long-lasting burn from our candles.
Aren’t all soy wax candles the same?
Unfortunately, no. Label guidelines in the USA allow any candle that is at least 51% soy to be labeled as a soy wax candle. This means there is potentially 49% that is paraffin, beeswax, palm wax, or coconut wax. There are many pre-blended waxes available to candle makers, and those manufacturers do not disclose their full formulas, other than stating what waxes are in the blend. We ONLY use natural soy wax. Our wax is also vegan.
Do you use essential oils?
We use high-quality, clean fragrance oils that are specifically made for candles and contain essential oil components. In addition, all of our fragrances are free of phthalates and parabens, as well as a long list of other undesirable chemicals known to cause cancer and other health issues.
What about dyes or other additives?
Our candles are made with natural soy wax and fragrance oil only, and we use whisper wooden wicks.
What size candle do I need for my space?
One candle works great in all rooms. You can even have multiple candles of the same scent, or mix and match them for your own unique blend.
Can your containers be reused?
Yes! Once there is about 1/4 inch of wax left, stop using the candle. Use caution and care when removing the remaining wax, wicks and any labeling. Our suggestion is to gently scrape out the wax and wicks/wick stickers with a rigid silicone utensil (we don’t recommend knives or other metal items) and discard all wax in the trash - never put wax down the drain or garbage disposal. Then place the container in hot soapy water to soften any residue and labels, and wash, rinse and dry. We do not recommend scraping labels off as this might damage the surface of the vessel. Vessels may be put in dishwasher once all wax and label residue is gone. Note: we assume no liability for candle containers or subsequent results of reuse by the consumer, once purchased.
When will I get my shipment?
Packages ship Monday through Wednesday only to avoid lengthy time in delivery/transport vehicles or warehouses over the weekends. Our preferred method of shipping is USPS Priority, which could take between 1-3 days, subject to carrier schedules and guidelines.
Do you ship outside the U.S.?
Not at this time but will in the near future.
